Here’s a quick sketch I did of Truro Cathedral recently – yet again, it was raining! Still, I bundled myself up in my car, had a flask of tea, and used my watercolour pencils and ink pen to create this picture. It’s the first time that I’ve tried to sketch a building – I find sketching architecture quite intimidating! However, I quite enjoyed it in the end, after all, it’s just my impression of the scene, rather than an exact drawing to scale! This rainy summer we have had in the UK will give way to a summery autumn I’m hoping, for more outdoor sketches! X
