I’ve been spending the morning brushing up on my piano technique in preparation for filming my video, and Bach is perfect for that!

This music was given to me by my school music teacher, Mr Gumbley, and he wrote a lovely inscription in the book. I think I drove him a bit crazy at times; giggling in class and being reluctant to play my violin in front of the school during assemblies! We have always stayed in touch, and he was a kind and supportive teacher to me.

I think it’s taken me all these years to fully appreciate playing Bach on the piano, but I’m enjoying the symmetry and hypnotic patterns in the music. It will also strengthen my fingers and sharpen my focus in readiness for performing ‘Initial Bond’! Thank you all for everything xxx
