My final poem in the series! When I started this project back in January, I wondered if I would be able to come up with something coherent for every month of the year! I had never tried writing with a ‘proper’ ink pen either, so it’s been a learning curve, but fun to do! I had such awful handwriting when I was at school – I was even summoned to the Headmaster’s office because of it! (He liked me though, and used to lend me his violin to play, so it wasn’t a serious telling off!)
This watercolour shows St Michael’s Mount, near where I live, in a village called Marazion. Every Christmas, the castle at the top is illuminated, and looks gorgeous in the dark when you drive past! There are cottages at the foot of the Mount, which are home to many of the people who work on the island.
I hope you have enjoyed my little poems – I will be producing a video of them soon, thank you all again for your support! X
