I hope you like my latest poem – there is beauty in these dark November days! I was on a train journey recently, and it was a very early start – 5.30am! The good thing was being able to witness the changing colours in the sky, from pitch black, to a myriad of different shades of blue, purple, and red – through to golden yellows and oranges, before the sun finally won and daylight broke.
I stared through the window at the silhouette of the stark branches of the wintry trees, as they became more prominent against the sky as it grew lighter. Hawthorn trees are prevalent here in Cornwall, and I love the drama of their contorted shapes.
One more month to go and I will have completed a whole year’s worth of poetry and artwork to celebrate each month! Thank you – as always – for your amazing support. I couldn’t have done it without you X
