I will be spending today working on some violin music for ‘November Skies’. It’s the perfect day for composing – the wind is howling, the leaves are blowing around in a whirl and it’s a dark and brooding day… I do love the drama of the wintry weather, probably more so than a glorious summer’s day!
I’m planning on letting the piano have the main part as regards the melody line, I would like the violin to enhance the piano music in an atmospheric and subtle way. The majority of my music is violin led, but for my ‘Winter Keys’ EP I deliberately wanted to explore the delicate realms of what the piano has to offer.
I will be looking out of my window from time to time, as I can see the telegraph wire which the birds love to cluster on! As soon as I have more music ready for you to listen to, then you will of course be the first to hear it. X
