Here is a quick watercolour I did recently at Charlestown. I was using my new travel paints, and I had difficulty opening some of the colours, so I just used what I could manage to get to! There were many tourists milling about and I felt self conscious, not only because I was trying to paint, but also due to the fact that I was fiddling about with my set of paints and getting frustrated!
Charlestown is a very quaint and unspoilt port, and is situated in St Austell Bay, Cornwall. It has been used as a location for films and TV programmes. The film maker Tim Burton has filmed there several times, and Dr Who and Poldark also featured Charlestown for some of the scenes.
