The moors to me are not a lonely place, they stretch out in front of you like a cosy blanket.
It is here where I feel Mother Nature holding you in the palm of her hand.
The burnt orange late summer sunshine lit up the heathers as I walked along a stream which cut through the heart of Bodmin moor, and weaved its way around the countryside.
I walked for a while, and began to draw some of the grasses and wildflowers which were growing at the water’s edge. The gentle babbling of the water and the lazy drone of insect life were my musical accompaniment as I concentrated on my sketching.
Far off distant piano and violin melodies began to awaken and circle around my mind and were interrupted only by the distant bleat of a sheep.
Nature was my companion, and she is always my muse, guiding me on and inspiring my work, always.
