Here’s a picture I took of my seasonal postcard for Autumn, before posting it out to Edna. It’s a one off watercolour and ink artwork showing a view of the fields near my house, with the magnificent area surrounding Trencrom Hill in the distance.
Trencrom Hill was the location for The Homecoming video – as most of you know, I’m not keen on heights, and the producer strongly encouraged me to play my violin on top of the summit, much to the amusement of a young couple who were having a picnic nearby! The view from the top is panoramic, and takes in the south coastline of Mount’s Bay, as well as the north coast of St Ives Bay.
We had a lovely picnic there one year when the children were small. The view is quite breathtaking! We were on holiday, prior to us moving to Cornwall. The cottage we were renting came with a farm cat, who brought some ‘visitors’ with her while we were staying there. We spent the picnic feeling a bit uncomfortable as we had been bitten by fleas! Happy Days! X
